You may enter the competition for free by complying with the following conditions: (a) send your entry on an unenclosed postcard by first class or second class post to the Promoter at the following address: Borders Competitions, Thistle Garden, Howpark Road, DUNS, TD11 3RP (b) include with your entry the following information: (i) your full name; (ii) your address; (iii) a contact telephone number and email address; and (iv) your chosen competition, and your answer to the Competition Question. (c) incomplete/illegible entries will be disqualified. (d) you may make multiple free entries for any competition (up to any limit placed on entries by the Promoter) but each free entry must be submitted and posted to the Promoter separately. Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted as multiple entries and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry; this also applies to sending over the max limit placed by the promoter. If an entrant sends above the max stated for any given competition this will be entered as one entry. (e) by entering the competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to enter and accept these terms and conditions; (f) your entry must be received by the Promoter prior to the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the random draw; (g) the Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm if your answer to the Competition Question is correct; (h) if the number of paid entries reaches any cap or limit before your free entry is received, you will not be entered into the random draw. (i) Entrants must have created an account on the Website for the free entry to be processed. All details on the postcard MUST correspond to the details on the account to receive the order confirmation and ticket number. Postal entries received without a registered account cannot be processed. (j) All postal entries that meet the above criteria, will be entered into the competitions postal entries have been received for. The entrant completes their entry via a code sent to their email address entitling them to a 100% off the value of postal order received. This is a one time use code and multiple codes will not be created if used in error. (k) The code is entered at checkout, tickets will be sent out via email & will be visible to see in the “my account” section of the website.

The closing date of each competition is fixed and will take place regardless of the number of tickets sold for each competition. Even at a huge loss on our end.
Everyone who gets the answer to the question correct (if there is one) will be entered into the draw. The winner will then be chosen at random using google number generator from all the ticket numbers, live on Facebook.
An instant win is a prize which is won instantly, if your randomly assigned ticket number matches the pre defined ticket numbers (found in the Instant Winners tab above) you will win the corresponding prize on that ticket number. If there is a main prize included on the draw your ticket number still has a chance to win the final main prize which is drawn live on Facebook.
In theory a user could buy 10 tickets and win 10 instant wins. It’s unlikely but it does happen. Therefore putting us at a loss, but that’s how the site works and we guarantee every main draw goes ahead, regardless of tickets sales.
